In February 1981 after serving in the US Navy, Paul saw a help wanted sign in a Pfaff dealership in Palo Alto, California and landed the job. He began learning the trade and in 1983, opened his first retail sales and service business in Tahoe City, California.

 

Since then he has spent his entire life in the sewing machine industry, selling, repairing and training others on nearly every brand in the world.

 

He has worked in and managed several sewing machine stores as well as owning and operating three very successful sewing machine businesses of his own.

 

After selling his Auburn, California sewing machine store and moving to the Central Coast in 2007, he has concentrated strictly on repair and service of household, industrial and long-arm quilting sewing machines. In addition, he usually has a small selection of used and reconditioned sewing machines.

Paul repairs about 600 sewing machines per year, makes service calls throughout San Luis Obispo county, helps people and businesses with their sewing machine needs and lectures to guilds and groups.

 

His wife, Kate, is his inspiration for integrity, excellence, organization and consistency in his business and personal life.
